CREATING A WORLD OF ACCESSIBLE MEDICATION LABELING

EVATech partners with pharmacies in the U.K., Australia,

New Zealand and additional countries to bring accessible prescription labels to patients who are blind, visually impaired, print impaired or speak English as a Second Language.

If patients have a challenge reading their medication labels — the dangers of illness, hospitalization and death are real.

EVATech is an international subsidiary of En-Vision America, which is a well-established assistive technology company

based in Florida.

The United States arm of the company — En-Vision America — was founded by a son and father more than 25 years ago in the basement of a home in Illinois. Two family members had Retinitis Pigmentosa (or RP), a rare inherited disorder that involves a breakdown of and loss of cells in the retina. While one family member could read Braille, the other could not, so the family invested in and explored ways to increase independence and safety for individuals who are visually impaired. They soon found success creating accessible prescription labels.

En-Vision America has deep roots and relationships with thousands of large chain and small pharmacies throughout the U.S. and Canada and we’re now shifting our focus overseas.
